On Friday, the S&P 500 was up 0.3% and Toronto was up 0.9%.

The December inflation numbers were reported and inflation remains tame.
The investment in new home construction for November was reported. Alberta single family home spending was down 16% from the prior year but was not much changed versus the past few months. For Canada for all types of homes spending was up 4.1% from the prior year.
Retail Trade for November was reported and was moderately positive.
Futures on Sunday evening suggest a slightly negative opening for stocks on Monday morning.
I am surprised that the stock market is not showing more fear of the Trump presidency. The Trump Whitehouse has reportedly attacked the media for accurately reporting the crowd size.
