Markets were relatively calm on Monday with the S&P 500 down 0.4% and Toronto down 0.2%.

AutoCanada was down 3.2%.

BHP was up 3.5%. It’s up 13% this new year to date. It has long has two classes of shares but that has now been unified and the BBL shares no longer trade but have become BHP shares. I had always recommended the cheaper BBL shares over the BHP sharers as they traded at a discount. The discount vanished as the two shares were consolidated.

TFI International was down 2.5%. But then, after the close, it reported stellar earnings. This stock will likely rise noticeably at the open.
